Pleasure Craft Operator's Card

It's the law.

In 2009, the Government of Canada passed into law a requirement for anyone operating a vessel with a motor to have on board a Pleasure Craft Operator's Card as proof of competency. Failure to comply can result in a $250. fine.

If you feel your level of knowledge is sufficient, you can simply challenge the Pleasure Craft Operator's exam.

However, we are pleased to offer a two-hour "tune-up" course and exam challenge. This course covers the basic "rules of the road" and boating safety issues that everyone should know before leaving the dock. Even those experienced sailors who have opted to take this refresher have indicated it was a very beneficial review.
