Perhaps one of our greatest joys for my wife Linda and I was to go aboard an Amel Supermaramu for four weeks in the Mediterranian Sea to help the new owners learn how to sail. It was hard to imagine this beautiful 52' vessel was their very first boat!
We sailed France and went to the Cannes Film Festival, sailed to the Fornells and Balearic Islands belonging to Spain, sailed Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, climbed the volcano on the Italian island of Volcano and sailed close by the active volcano of Stromboli; finally finishing at Vibo Valentia in the south of Italy.
We laughed, sang, danced, ate and drank the occasional glass of wine - living life to the limit and filling each precious minute with a full sixty seconds of living.
And... by the way, our new-found friends learned how to sail along the way.
