CYA Instructor Clinics

These Nationally certified CYA Instructor Clinics are for those who have a passion for boats and sailing and who want to be paid for teaching sailing.

As a Certified CYA Instructor, a whole new world of lifetime opportunities will open for you; including access to the CYA job posting board, CYA liability insurance of $5 million, authority to award CYA certifications levels, to name a few.

Basic Instructor Clinic:

For experienced sailors wishing to achieve Instructor certification for teaching the CYA Learn-to-Cruise Basic Cruising standards. Open to those 18 years of age or older who have passed the CYA Basic Crusing Standard, CYA Coastal Navigation Standard, and the Collision Regulations.

Intermediate Instructor Clinic:

For experienced sailors who are currently registered CYA Basic Cruising Instructors with at least one season and a minimum of 150 hours logged as a CYA Basic Instructor. Certified Intermediate Instructors are authorized to certify the Basic & Intermediate Cruising student standards. Must be at least 19 years of age or older and have successfully completed the Advanced Student Standard, Coastal Navigation, and Intermediate Standards as well as the Collison Regulations.
